Introducing Wanaka Fly Fishing Guide Jamie Hanning

 

Jamie Hanning and Wilderness Fly Fishing has based himself at beautiful Lake Hawea with his young family, just a short distance from Wanaka, South Island of  New Zealand.

 

His family originally hails from Clyde in Central Otago. Jamie first picked up a line at the very young age of 8, on the Clutha river and hasn’t put the rod down since.

 

 

Jamie’s fly fishing adventures regularly take him and his clients into crystal clear back country waters that cover the West Coast, Southern Lakes, Otago and Southland regions. Jamie is a member of NZ Professional Fishing Guides Association. His specialty is heli-fishing into the abundant wilderness rivers the above regions provide.

 

 

Jamie’s mission is “to create brilliant memories by offering spectacular wilderness fly fishing adventures and outstanding professional service.”

 

 

 

 

As a guide Jamie loves nothing more than sharing his passion and knowledge of fly fishing with his clients.

 

He prides himself on his natural ability to “spot’ trout in all types of water conditions. Sight fishing is the ultimate fly fishing experience.
