Options/Guide Fees Accommodation About Queenstown Trip Reports
Queenstown Fly Fishing Options;
We cater to anglers of all levels of experience, from the 'green' novice, through to the more experienced individual. We operate on a policy of a maximum of two anglers per guide, in order to ensure both, that each angler receives the optimum level of personal guidance and instruction that they require, and to maximize fishing opportunities.
We offer a range of trip options, from a few hours on the water, through to fly fishing road trips of several days duration.
A New Zealand freshwater fishing license is required for anyone intending to fish for trout, but are not included in our pricing structure.
These however can be purchased at Queenstown Sports world on Rees St, or are available online at www.fishandgame.org.nz. Below are some of our options, and appropriate pricing.
Full day Guided Fly Fishing;
Our most popular option sees you picked up at your accommodation at around 7am and whisked away to an array of productive waters. Throughout the day you will see what it is that makes NZ the worlds most desirable fly fishing destination, as we sample some of the action which keeps many coming back for more.
Trips average around 10 hours duration (around 8 hours actual fishing time) and include full guiding and qualified tuition, a sumptuous packed lunch and refreshments, all equipment as required and digital images of your experience, on a personalised CD Rom.
Price Per Day is;
NZ$785.00 for one angler per guide.
NZ$800.00 for two anglers per guide.
Multi Day Fly Fishing road trips
(Recommended for the serious Sports person wanting to sample the best Fly Fishing on offer)
Are the best way to experience the diverse array of waters on offer throughout the South, and can either be based out of your accommodations here in Queenstown, or at a range of farm stays, bed and breakfasts, and country home stays as we travel from river to river. A trip of three or four days duration also allows more play with the weather, for it would be a shame to have only one day to ‘find our feet’ in challenging conditions. Ask about our backcountry camp outs, where we sleep beside the river in modern, lightweight tents.
